Mom had a great time last Saturday playing softball with a bunch of ladies and girls from church.  We won all the games we played and had a fantastic time together.  It was a blast!!

First Day of School

Wow, this year school creeped up on us so fast!! We just cleaned out our backpacks and then we were filling them up again!!  We have two in middle school this year and three in elementary.  Big changes.  Everyone is adjusting well and having a great time going to bed and getting up early again. hahaha!

Uncle Russ and Robby

Uncle Russ surprised us with a last minute visit and brought our fun cousin Robby along for the ride.  We had a blast with them playing at the reservoir, hanging out at the rec. center, and the boys got to go camping with him for the fathers and sons.  It was a great few days!!

The Reservoir

For one of our last summer outings we went to a great reservoir about 45 min. from our house.  It was such a fun day swimming and playing in the water.  We went with our friends the Garners and the Stevens.  We had some good times.

Baptism and Scouts

J Man turned 8 this year and was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.   It was such a fantastic day for him.  Mr. M participated in the baptism by playing all of the songs on the piano and Lady K was the closing prayer.  Dad, of course, was the one who performed the baptism.  Grandma Vance and Camille were there along with one of his best friends from school Seumas and his mom and sister.  It was a great meeting and J Man was so excited!

Turning 8 also meant he was ready to join the cub scouts.  He was so excited for his first meeting and passed off his bobcat requirements in only one week!!  He is going to be a great little scouter!!

Grandma Vance, Camille and J Dude came for a visit a few weekends ago for J Man's baptism.  It was so much fun to have them around.  We went swimming at the rec. center and to Elitch Gardens amusement park.  It was a great time!!

A Dream Came True!!

Everyone has dreams as a parent of what they will do with their kids.  One of my dreams has been to go places on bikes with the kids.  We have done it in the past but there was always a great divide between the little kids who were so slow in the back and the big kids in the front racing way ahead.  This year everyone was finally on a bike that had gears and large tires and my cousin Heather Gardner gave me a trailer for my bike to put Big B in.  We decided one day to ride to the library and the kids just happened to be in age order as they flew down the bike path to the library.  I was laughing in delight at having one of my dreams come true.  We were on a family bike ride...together!!  SO FUN!!
